Answer: DC Jacks fail because of the every day abuse of plugging and unplugging the AC power supply. Over time this constant plugging and unplugging wears down the solder connections between the DC Jack and the motherboard.

Common symptons of a bad DC Jack

1: Laptop Notebook will only work off the battery. When the battery dies, so does the laptop.

2: You have to keep moving the power cord around to get the laptop to work or charge correctly.

For turn around time, please contact us with the brand of laptop you will be having fixed and model number. If we have the part instock, the DC Jack repair is usually same day. If we have to order the part, it usually takes 3 to 7 business days.
