As many of you know, the Sony Playstation 3 is flawed by design. The infamous "YLOD" is usually caused by either a bad PSU or a bad solder joint connection between the RSX chip and the motherboard. We offer a few solutions below for these problems.

YLOD -- $79 PSU replacement
YLOD -- $50 Reflow option (Reflow Station with Flux)- we will fix it up to 2 times if it happens again within 6 months (effective on all repairs from 7/18/09 and after). We have had a very high success rate, but there is a chance this will not be a permanent fix because of the lead free solder that Sony used on these chips.
